In association with our current exhibition, Another Eye, we are hosting a lively programme of online events exploring the work of women refugee photographers.
Renowned photographer Edith Tudor-Hart is known for her images of Vienna and London’s workers and street children, of poverty and social deprivation. She was also a Soviet spy. Born Edith Suschitzky in Vienna in 1908, she recruited Kim Philby, and was one of the architects of the infamous spy ring, the Cambridge Five. In this film the writer and filmmaker Peter Stephan Jungk tries to unravel the truth about his great-aunt's life.
Watch the film online, ahead of a discussion with filmmaker Peter Stephan Jungk and producer Lillian Birnbaum. The Film Screening Tracking Edith will be available to view online: 22 -26 June.
This programme is shown in partnership with Insiders/Outsiders Festival and the Association of Jewish Refugees.
