LOOP

LOOP brings together 24 artists in an exhibition shaped by movement, return and continuation. Photography is never entirely still; even when an image appears fixed, it continues to travel through materials, is reenacted by the way of looking, affected by systems of display, and moves through memory.

Photography occupies an uncertain position between object and event, document and fiction, trance and construction. LOOP begins from that uncertainty; it is a condition of the medium itself. The images working in relation in this space are not presented as closed statements, but as works in circulation. Whose meaning changes as they move through different material and social forms.

The title LOOP names this condition, but also carries an intimate resonance. A thread tied loose in the air, a curve, a return, a soft repetition. Production, exhibition, publication and online collection are therefore not secondary supports around the work, but constitutive moments within it. What emerges is an exhibition attentive to sequence, relation and afterlife, where photography appears less as a fixed representation of the world than as an active negotiation with it.
