In Solidarity
This summer we commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, with an East End Stories project about anti-racist protest in East London.
IN SOLIDARITY invites six local people to create short films about protest against racism and fascism in East London, inspired by the Battle of Cable Street.
The project includes:
- Visits to Tower Hamlets Archives, Bishopsgate Institute Special Collections & Archives, the Hope Gallery to view photographs by Misan Harriman, alongside talks and screenings.
- Eight days of Premiere Pro edit training with filmmaker Riffy Ahmed, to create a short film or podcast (approx 3 mins) using archival material and audio.
- The final films will be shown as part of an exhibition at Four Corners in October 2026 as part of TOGETHER on Cable Street.
The project is free, and runs from June to July 2026. It offers travel and refreshments costs.
