Memory is a political act

Isabel Cortes Colque was five years old when she had to flee Pinochet's dictatorship in 1977. 46 years later, she visited the Four Corners exhibition Chile 50: Political Art, Solidarity and Resistance and viewed Peter Kennard's A Document on Chile for the first time as an adult. In this article, she explains how the project traces not only Chile's traumatic history but her personal story as well.
