Colour Printing Workshop for Beginners

Taught by artist Lisa Byrne, this 1 day workshop will teach you about colour theory, how to make enlargements from colour negatives and produce your own colour prints in Four Corners' colour darkrooms.

NB: You will need to bring your own colour negatives with you and some experience of B/W printing would be useful.

Introduction to DSLR Cinematography

As a response to the exponential take up of this technology, award-winning cinematographer Simon Minett, will teach this 1 day theoretical workshop, which will look at the accessories and video functions of the DSLR camera.

This worskhop is aimed at those who have recently purchased or are considering purchasing a DSLR  with little to no experience with DSLR technology.

DSLR Practical Workshop

Taught by award-winning cinematographer Simon Minett, this 1 day practical workshop will explore and test the best kit and workflows to use, enabling owners of DSLR cameras to get the most out of their digital systems. The group will shoot footage using different lenses and support systems, the footage will then be ingested and screened to demonstrate the various uses and pros and cons of this technology.

 
This workshop is aimed at those who have completed our Introduction to DSLR Cinematography workshop and existing DSLR camera owners who want to build on their existing knowledge.

A 12 week course on how to become a Wedding Photographer

Whether you are looking to supplement your income with 6 weddings a year, or make wedding photography your main career, this 12 week course could be one of the best investments you could make to your business and photography practice. Taught by award-winning photographer, Dr John Nassari, this course will introduce you to:

developing your reportage approach; knowing your market and competition; how to market yourself; website development; posing and lighting; what kit you need; pricing; album design; up-sales; work flow and processing; lightroom and photoshop session; wedding fairs; and current debates in the field.

John Nassari will guide you through how to develop your business plan; and share his experience of setting up his own business in his home in 2008, to opening a studio in 2009, and reaching 63 weddings in 2011 with two full time photography employees.

The programme is aimed at photographers with pre-existing training and their own DSLR kit.

Introduction to Lightroom with Bahi Para

10.30-5.30pm

Taught by Lightroom expert, Bahi Para this one day introductory workshop will give a good overview of Lightroom, covering topics such as: typical workflows, importing and filing, organising your images, discussing  the pros and cons of folders V collections, post processing, Photoshop integration and export. The workshop will then be rounded off with a Q&A at the end. 

This workshop is aimed at the following: photographers who are beginners with Lightroom, photographers switching to digital, photographers used to working in Photoshop and trying to organise photographs themselves.

You will need to bring your own laptop.

Please Note: we accept credit card or cash payment in advance only.

Please Note: Four Corners reserves the right to cancel a course no later than 7 days before the start date if there are not sufficient numbers booked onto the course.

Notice of Cancellation: please inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a course. There is a cancellation fee of 15% (of overall course cost) on all course bookings. It is not possible to refund any cancellation made less than 14 days prior to course start date.

Non-attendance of courses: please be aware that if you do miss any sessions, these cannot be transferred to another course.

Non transferable: bookings for workshops & courses are non-transferable. You must attend the course or workshop you have booked a place on, on the correct dates and at the stated times. Cancellation policy rules apply.

Punctuality: it is very important that all course participants arrive in plenty of time. If you find yourself running late on the day of the course, please let us know as soon as possible.
