We are seeking volunteers for our new Archive project, which runs until 2018. This will include skills training in archive research, digitisation and oral history techniques, and in other areas. All volunteers will receive training in their chosen area outlined below:
Oral History volunteers - Should like meeting new people and have excellent communication and listening skills. They should be willing to travel to people's homes if necessary, and be flexible about interview times.
Archive/Research volunteers - Should be willing to do routine tasks like scanning publications and photographs as well as researching contributors/authors and contacting them for copyright information.
The deadline for this round of Archive volunteers is now closed. We will begin recruiting again in Spring 2017.
We regularly take on volunteers to help with admin support, reception cover, darkroom bookings and other tasks. We would love to hear from you if you would like to donate some of your time to help us.
We define volunteering as an activity that involves spending time, unpaid, doing something that aims to benefit Four Corners and the volunteer. Volunteering must be a choice freely made by each individual. We offer volunteers appropriate daily expenses. We believe that volunteer rights should be upheld and aim to make volunteering a mutually beneficial experience.
If interested, please fill out the short form below and return it to email@example.com
"From the darkroom to the gallery, my volunteering experience at Four Corners took a hands on approach from the word go. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage in all things photographic in a close knit, welcoming environment, gaining an active insight into the many facets of a creative career whilst meeting and working with an abundance of inspiring people. And I was never once asked to make the tea. I thoroughly recommend it." Chloe Edwards, former volunteer
