We're currently fighting a proposal from 113-115 Roman Road to pull down the existing three storey, 13-bed hotel and construct a new four storey, 31 bedroom hotel. We need your support to stop this from going ahead!
As well as destroying the history of the building (where Four Corners began) we are in a conservation area and this construction will not, we believe, be in keeping with surrounding buildings.
This build will be detrimental to surrounding businesses by blocking light to our buildings. For us, this will also kill off our green roof, which is planted with alpine succulents to attract insects and birds and promote environmental enhancement.
Plans are available here.
The proposal is being opposed by Amy Whitelock Gibbs, one of the local councillors, but recommended by Tower Hamlets officers.
