Four Corners’ Lab Projects offer artists sole use of the gallery for one week, to help develop a body of work in progress. We believe the projects are a perfect research and development platform to assist subsequent production fund applications and regional exhibition proposals.
John Nassari 7 - 12 May 2007
Explores the way dominant discourses conceal or marginalise other social and national debates. The work investigates this through highly mediated self-conscious representations, bringing into focus debates about realist modes of representation.
The gallery will be used to see how the images work in a gallery context. Through discussion, debate and showing the work, John hopes to develop his conceptual and aesthetic practice.
