‘Palimpsests’
Lara Saxby-Soria
As part of the East End Film Festival 2010, Four Corners presents an exhibition of work by artist Lara Saxby-Soria, featuring a new sculptural video installation ‘Pylon’.
“Like a ten-minute dream in the passenger seat while the world was spinning by…”
Lara Saxby-Soria's practice attempts to engage the medium of film as a physical presence. The work is concerned with moving away from the notion of the screen as a dormant surface and instead shifts the emphasis onto the relationship between image/projection/screen, in which the gallery space is a formative part of the work.
