FAST FORWARD is a FREE short training scheme to support people seeking a career in the Film & Television industries.
The scheme provides:
• High quality training
• Eight paid work placements
• Career development support such as Industry speaker events
• Childcare, carer and travel expenses
To apply you must:
• Live in a London Borough
• Be unemployed or working under 16 hours per week
• Be aged over 16
Selection will be on a strict equal opportunities basis, with priority given to people facing multiple barriers, who are furthest from training and employment opportunities.
Participants will receive an initial 1-2-1 training needs assessment, and will then receive structured training and workshops, including: Introductory sessions providing overview of current industry trends and technologies, specific job roles, managing a freelance career, industry practices & protocols, Workshops including innovation in emerging platforms, interview techniques, CV development, health & safety, 1-2-1 and peer sessions and a place on one of the following training courses:
Digital Video Production (3 weeks)
16mm Camera (1 week)
Production management (1 week)
Research (3 days)
Avid Editing (2 weeks)
